About Billy MacDonald

In 1954 Bill was born to Mr. William MacDonald and Ms. Mary MacDonald in Saugus, MA. Bill was the first of five children. During his youth and teen years most of his energy was spent on the basketball courts, baseball diamonds and football fields of Saugus, MA. His athletic talent and competitive drive won him many awards. Bill was honored in 2003 when he was inducted into the Saugus High School Hall of Fame.

During his high school years he met the love of his life, Donna. Not long after graduating high school Bill and Donna were married. Bill joined his family demolition contracting business and bought his first home in Melrose, MA where his two daughters were born. Tricia is now 30 years old and Lea is now 25 years old. The MacDonald family then relocated to Danvers, MA where the girls finished their school years before heading off to college.

Tricia was married and has two children giving Bill and Donna two beautiful grandchildren. Hannah Rose is now six years old and Jacob Andrew is now two years old. Daughter Lea will be married in September 2006 and Bill looks forward to joining her down the aisle and the joyous celebration that the day will be.

Along the way Bill became interested in real-estate investment and was fortunate to have some success with this; one being the opportunity to purchase a lake house in Maine. This was certainly a dream come true and most definitely Bill's favorite place to be, anytime of the year.

Bill and Donna have been married for 32 years and reside in Groveland, MA close to their family.

The following inspirational message is from a card that Bill received

The Oak Tree

A Mighty wind blew night and day,
It stole the oak tree's leaves away,
Then snapped its bough and pulled its bark,
Until the oak was tired and stark,
But still the oak tree held its ground,
While other trees fell all around.

The weary wind gave up and spoke,
"How can you still be standing, Oak?"
The oak tree said, "I know that you can break each branch of mine in two,
Carry every leaf away,
But I have roots stretched into the earth,
Growing stronger since my birth.
You'll never touch them for you see,
They are the deepest part of me.
Until today, I wasn't sure,
Of just how much I could endure.
But now I've found with thanks to you,
I'm stronger than I ever knew."

I know you can get through this.
You're strong and are surrounded by people
who care....people like me.
